Darren Blower Estate Agents

It’s a case of “and Droitwich makes five” for Darren Blower Estate Agents, as the company opens its latest office in the town. Joining the existing branches at Alvechurch, Bromsgrove, Redditch and Wythall, the fifth office represents a long-held ambition for Darren, who has been looking to open in Droitwich for several years.

“It’s a great time for us to move into the area, as the current redevelopment scheme means Droitwich is really moving forward,” Darren explains. “The office is in an excellent location within the town, and although it wasn’t affected by the floods, we are taking the opportunity to refurbish anyway.”

The spacious office is the former premise of Peter Child Estate Agents, which has now been taken over by Darren, although Peter is staying on as branch manager, along with? Angela Phillips Between them, the pair boast an impressive 50 years’ experience of selling homes in the Droitwich area.

“While we are modernising the Droitwich branch so that it’s fully equipped for today’s market, it’s also extremely important to maintain experience and local knowledge – so I’m delighted that Peter and Angela are part of the team,” says Darren, who has himself been in the industry for 23 years.

“This is the first time we’ve taken on an existing agency – all the others started from scratch – and the plan is to bring it in line with our other offices by introducing the latest technology, putting us on a level playing field with our competitors.”

The firm, established in 1996 when Darren opened his first office in Alvechurch after 12 years in corporate estate agency, has enjoyed steady growth and become one of the area’s most trusted names. Clients can now take advantage of the in-house mortgage services department headed by Darren’s co-director Ian Perry, who has 20 years’ experience in the financial services aspect of estate agency.

With the network of offices now encompassing three in town centres and two in semi-rural locations, the company can manage a wider range of town and country properties for clients at both ends of the market. “It’s vital to have a rapport with local people, and the Droitwich branch will help us to do that – it’s a winning combination of old and new,” Darren concludes.
